I want to be recognized as a team player- I believe in serving the greater picture. Of course, a sense of ego has to come into play because one needs to believe that the work they put out is important and serves a purpose- if you can’t stand behind your work then why will anyone else champion its message?

I think the lack of pressure really made it possible for me to hone my talent without being too concerned about results.

Droplets Pellets Bullets will feature (in alphabetical order) Davina Colaco (Ghost of Childhood), Gavin Lewis (Head of the Class, Little Fires Everywhere, Prince of Peoria, Just Jacques), Maddie Nichols (The Resident, The Outsider, 9-1-1), Madylin Sweeten (Everybody Loves Raymond, Gray’s Anatomy, Lucifer), and Jeff Torres (The Guardians of Justice, S.W.A.T., Days of Our Lives). The play conceptually explores the phenomenon of false memories as often experienced by students and teachers who witness school shootings and recall vivid memories of the event that conflict with evidentiary accounts. The playwright was mentored by Lee Sherman. Directed by June Carryl.

I battled doing comedy for the longest time. I’ve always been the funny gal, and I’ve been confident in that label in my personal life. I was just apprehensive in presenting myself as a comedian professionally because I would probably have an identity crisis if it went south.

In all my daydreaming, there has been only one avenue I knew I’d be forever enamored by, in all aspects, and that is: storytelling.

I used to obsess over the illustrations in my fairytale books before I could read- and then the Harry Potter books and movie series became a blanket of comfort. When I was old enough to understand that these people on screen were actors, I knew then that if I couldn’t actually travel to another world, I’d at least want to get as close as possible to that fantasy.
